Our History

The Fitzherbert Castle Motel has been part of the fabric of Fitzherbert Avenue since its inception in 1987. Its unique design stands out from all other motels in the area and is a ‘landmark' on the Avenue.

Located 1½ blocks (395 metres) from The Square, our location allows you to park your car and walk to most places around the Palmerston North CBD, to the Arena Manawatu, Palmerston North Convention Centre, Theatres, Cafés and Restaurants.
